THE LIE DETECTOR TEST PROCESS

STEP ONE: Book your lie detector test

All lie detector tests are scheduled online on our website a minimum of 24 hours in advance. We do not take walk-ins or cash payments. You simply click on the book now button to be taken to our online scheduling system and follow the user-friendly instructions. Once your appointment is booked, we will email you a confirmation and links to the forms you will need to fill out online.

NO HIDDEN OR ADDITIONAL FEES

There are no additional fees for your exam! Other examiners may charge additional fees to pay for the hourly location rental, report fees, rush service fees for same day results, parking fees and more! At Validate, LLC, you pay for the exam and that includes use of our dedicated professional polygraph facility in Severna Park, MD, same day rush results with same day written report, free ample parking and the exam.

STEP TWO: Submit your intake forms online

You will need to submit your intake forms online a minimum of 24 hours prior to your appointment. Within these forms you will have the opportunity to tell us your side of the story as to why you are coming in. You can also provide suggested questions you would like asked on lie detector test if you want. Links to these online forms should automatically be emailed to you upon booking. However, if for any reason they were not emailed to you or you can no longer locate the email, you can use the links below to access the online forms.

DO I GIVE YOU A LIST OF QUESTIONS?

You can provide us with suggested questions within your online intake forms, or we can write the questions for you. In either case, polygraph question formulation requires professional training, experience and knowledge of national polygraph standards. You will submit your requested questions to us in your online forms and again in-person during the pre-exam interview. After we have collected all the information, the polygraph examiner will formulate the proposed questions t0 be asked on the exam ensuring the verbiage meets guidelines and national standards. Those questions will be discussed with you in-person on day the day of the exam prior the test to ensure they meet your intentions and answer your questions. You will approve the final questions that will be asked before the exam. In other words, we will work with you to come up with the right questions that meets your needs but are also compliant with APA guidelines.

STEP THREE: Prepare for your lie detector test

  • No alcohol of any kind or in any amount 24 hours prior to your exam.

  • Get a good night sleep. Be well rested.
  • Wear or bring with you a short sleeve shirt
  • Complete and submit all forms a minimum of 48 hours prior to your examination date.
  • Leave your weapons at home. No weapons of any kind are permitted.

  • Do power off your cell phone prior to entering the building.
  • Do arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment.
  • Do not arrive late or we may need to reschedule or cancel your appointment.
  • A parent or legal guardian is required for anyone testing under the age of 18.
  • No drugs of any kind 24 hours prior to your exam unless absolutely medically required and prescribed by a doctor

  • Do take any medically required medication that was prescribed by your doctor.

  • If you wear glasses, wear or bring your glasses with you.

  • A maximum of two people may attend an appointment.

  • Do not bring any electronic devices such as smart watches, tablets or laptops.
  • Do have a valid government issued photo ID ready upon arrival.
  • You may be at our office anywhere from 1-3 hours depending upon the exams scheduled. We recommend you eat before coming.

  • Understand that the truth will be exposed.

VALIDATE, LLC is located at 650 Ritchie Hwy, Suite 202, Severna Park, MD 21146 at the corner of Cypress Creek and Ritchie Hwy. Ample free parking is available. Enter in the door front entrance and proceed to the second floor by using the elevator or stairs. Our office is located on the 2nd floor just across from the restrooms. On Sunday only, the building exterior door may be locked. Please call (808) 256-7661 and someone will come down to let you inside.

ARRIVE EARLY & DEFINATELY DON'T BE LATE!

We frequently have back-to-back appointments, and we cannot accommodate excessively late arrivals. Out of respect, to ensure that none of our clients are negatively impacted, anyone that arrives more than 15 minutes late will have their appointment marked as a no-show and will not be serviced and a refund will not be given. Please play it safe and arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please call us immediately to see if may be able to reschedule your appointment.

STEP FOUR: Test and Results

On the day of your exam, both parties are encouraged to attend. If both parties can't attend in person, then the reporting/accusing party may opt to call in via telephone. They will be placed on speaker phone to ensure they can hear everything and participate during the pre-exam interview. During the pre-exam interview, all parties will have the opportunity to share their side of the story and propose questions. Together, we will come up with the final relevant questions to be asked on the exam during the pre-exam interview. All relevant questions will be reviewed and approved by you prior to the exam.

After the pre-exam interview, the Subject will undergo the lie detector test privately with the examiner. Other parties are not permitted in the exam room during testing to ensure no outside influences. Once the lie detector test is complete, you can ask any remaining questions and then will depart.

THE RESULTS

You will receive your results on the same day as your appointment. For safety and security purposes, results are usually not given face to face in office but rather are emailed to you in a written report. The report will clearly state the relevant questions asked on the test, the answers to the questions and the results. Most people receive the results within a couple of hours after their appointment is over.
